Amenities
|
As a resident of The Club at Wells Point, your Home Owners Association fees fund the amenities that are available for your use. The Home Owners Association and Amenity Committee strive to ensure that the pool and amenity center are managed in a cost effective manner while providing the community with a fun, family-focused recreational environment. IMPORTANT! New rules for Fitness Center and Pool have been posted. Please take the time to read these rules as you will be responsible for ensuring you, your family members and guests follow them. Any individual not adhering to the rules for the fitness center and pool may lose all amenity center and pool privileges for his/her entire family for a period of up to 60 days. Loss of privileges will be determined by the Board. Please replace the old set of rules with the new set of rules in your owner’s manual. We cannot express enough how important it is to keep your access card out of the hands of children age 17 and under. Children age 17 and under are not allowed to enter the pool without the direct supervision of an adult age 18 and older. There are no exceptions to this rule. You can find updated rules for both the pool and fitness center on the Forms page. |

| SWIMMING POOL: | |
Located behind the amenity center, next to the large water tower, is The Club's Junior Olympic pool, with depths from 3 feet to 5 feet, and an area for lap swimming. A smaller, shallow pool (18 inches deep) is provided for small children. Residents are permitted to use the pool for one pool party per pool season. A pool party request form must be completed and signed by the resident and approved by the pool party chairperson, prior to a party being held. Scheduling of pool parties ensures that residents are not inconvenienced and two parties are not being held at the same time. Because the arbor area is the main source of shade at the pool, it cannot be reserved exclusively for parties. Although parties may use one table under the arbor, shade area must be left to accommodate residents who may also be at the pool. Due to high resident use on holidays and holiday weekends, pool parties will not be allowed on these days. The Pool Calendar shows when Holiday/Weekend parties will be prohibited. See the pool party documents located on the Forms page for complete rules and guidelines. To access the swimming pool, please refer to the Card Reader System section. |

| FITNESS CENTER: | |
|
The fitness center is located within the amenity center building. The equipment available consists of a nautilus system, one treadmill, and one stationary bicycle. Exercise and safety instructions are posted on the wall for your convenience. Please note that there are specific age requirements for the fitness center. Please refer to the fitness center rules for the applicable age requirements for your family. See the Forms page for complete fitness center rules and guidelines. To access the fitness center, please refer to the Card Reader System section. |

| TENNIS/BASKETBALL COURT: | |
Located behind the amenity center, next to the large water tower. The tennis court consists of one tennis net, but can accommodate play for singles or doubles. Access to the tennis court requires a key that would be issued upon request. We have installed a new permanent in-ground basketball goal located at one end of the tennis court. Please observe the posted rules and exercise common courtesy when there are residents who want to play tennis while others are playing basketball. PLEASE CLOSE AND ENSURE GATE IS LOCKED WHEN YOU LEAVE! Leaving the gate open can allow others who are not a resident to enter and could potentially lead to vandalism of the court. Let's make sure we keep our neighborhood's amenties safe and in working condition. |

| PLAYGROUND: | |
|

| CARD READER SYSTEM: | |
|
Access to both the swimming pool and the fitness center is controlled by a card reader system. All residents are required to fill out and mail in separate registration forms for the fitness center and the pool in order to enter each of the facilities. These registration forms may be printed from the Forms page, or you may contact Goodwin Management and request that they be mailed to you. Access will be denied until the proper completed registration forms have been received. All information requested on each form is required and must be completed in its entirety in order for your access card to be activated. If you and your family members only intend to use the pool, then you will only need to complete the pool registration form. The same also goes for the fitness center. If you and your family intend to use both the fitness center and the pool, then both registration forms will need to be completed and mailed in. Access cards will ONLY be activated for residents in good standing with the Association. To be in good standing, you must:
If you already have an access card, then you already have an Acknowledgement/Waiver Form on file with Goodwin Management. You will not need to request another one. Card Reader UpdatesThe new card reader system updates bring new changes as to how residents will be able to access the amenity center. A new card reader has been installed on the interior door between the fitness center and the restrooms of the amenity center. In order to enter the fitness center from the restroom foyer, you will have to scan your card in the reader. It is very important that you do not leave your card in the fitness center, so keep it with you at all times. There is a pay phone in the restroom foyer should you need to call for assistance. You will be able to enter the pool area from the restroom foyer during pool season, but please remember that you will not be able to re-enter the amenity center without your access card. During the pool off-season, the pool entrance door in the restroom foyer will be locked; therefore, the interior door will remain unlocked. The system updates and the placement of the new card reader has enabled us to use the fitness center card readers separately from the pool card reader. Only residents who have registered to use the fitness center will be allowed to enter the fitness center. The same goes for the pool, only residents who have registered to use the pool will be allowed to enter the pool. The updated card reader system will still use the same access cards that you already have, so there is no need to dispose of them or request a new one. |

| VIDEO SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT: | |
|
Video surveillance equipment has been installed in accordance with privacy laws in the amenity center and pool area. The need for the video surveillance equipment is due in large part to vandalism and serious rule infractions that occur every year during pool season at the amenity center and pool. |
